Float therapy allows the body and mind to restore balance.

1000 lbs of epsom salt is dissolved into 200 gallons of warm water to create a weightless environment.

Since ancient times, soaking, bathing and floating in mineral rich water has been a popular practice for optimal health and physical wellness.

The Latin words for spa: sanitas per aquam, translate to "health through water".  Hydrotherapy or Hippocrates water cure was used for a wide range of ailments, including arthritis, joint pain, and inflammation.  Both mineral rich springs and seawater, were found to soften the skin and increase energy.  Water was therapeutic and recuperative.

Early civilizations, including the Greeks, Romans, Ottomans, Egyptians, and even Cleopatra herself, realized the curative and medicinal benefits of floating in a highly dense Salt Sea called the Dead Sea.  Today it is the saltiest and lowest place on earth and one can float in its water with zero muscular effort and no gravity.  When one floats in the Dead Sea, tension in the body is dramatically reduced.

At the National Institutes of Health in 1954, neuroscientist Dr. John Lilly explored how the brain handled external stimuli.  Dr. Lilly provided a private, stress-free space to unwind.  The water and the air were the same temperature as one's skin.  Salty, mineral rich water was added to a tank, nearly to the point of saturation (like the Dead Sea effect).  Floatation therapy was born.  With no distraction of light or sound, theis sensory deprivation technique, Restricted Environmental Sensory Technique (REST) allowed introspection and a divine sense of relaxation.

Close your eyes. Imagine you are now floating, weightless, in a warm pool full of magnesium rich water, while listening to peaceful music or in total silence. No distractions. Only you.

Relaxed?
